Firm Overview

In His Own Words

Patrick ArturI have practiced only criminal law for almost thirty years. I take my job seriously and I personally handle every aspect of my cases. Almost all of my practice has been in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties.

I consider myself a "Philadelphia lawyer" with all that the phrase entails. Many of my colleagues and friends at the D.A's office and the defense bar have moved onto Judgeships. I have chosen a different path. I stand up for the accused. No one claims to like criminals. No one accused of a crime ever thinks of himself as a criminal. On a daily basis I do my best to insure that no one will ever be able to refer to my clients as such.

My practice in Philadelphia brings me into contact with assistant D.A's and Judges everyday. I believe that I have their respect for the job that I have done over the years. In the criminal justice system, there is a great deal of camaraderie and respect for every professional whether that person is a judge, police officer, court officer, public defender, or assistant D.A.

I believe that through my representation of you I am able to translate this good will to your situation. Sometimes it really is not what you know, but whom you know.

I am an honest defense lawyer who knows, plays by, and obeys the rules. I think that I help people everyday to navigate their way through the legal minefield that we call the criminal justice system. I believe that with me on your side, your case will be handled differently, that you will be treated by the system differently. You will be satisfied with the outcome.

Do all of my clients hear the words "not guilty" at the end of this process? No. However, I believe that no lawyer in Philadelphia consistently gets the results that I get. I have a staff, which includes other Attorneys, Paralegals, and Investigators, but I do all of the trial work myself. I always have and always will. You will pay for my services and I personally will represent you.

Good lawyering doesn't come cheap. If you are looking for a "bargain basement lawyer", keep looking. I insist on a fair fee that I believe is commensurate with my abilities and the service that I render. You will definitely pay me more than the "kid outta law school" and you will receive the best representation possible for that fee.

There is no charge for initial consultation either by phone or in person.
